WINING DOWN: GSATI BRINGS WINE CLIENT TO LIFE

We love opportunities to break away from typical client projects and create something that not only helps a client but a friend to our GSATi Family as well. Read on as we share one of our newest Squarespace website projects for our friendly neighborhood wine bar, Wine Squared.

User Experience

When we sat down with our client, George Ferrie, we asked him a series of questions to better gauge what his vision was for his website. Were there things he currently offered on his website that he’d like to keep, and what would be done away with as we moved forward? The first thing that came to mind was providing an improved user experience.

Wine Squared offers an extended variety of wines to their customers, which updates often and would require an up-to-date menu available online as well. We were able to put together an extensive, informative page dedicated to explaining the major categories of wine and beer, as well as a crisp, clean, easily readable menu that can be updated easily with a few clicks.

Staying Connected & Informed

Part of Wine Squared’s mission is to make sure all clients and patrons feel confident in their knowledge - or lack thereof - of the wonderful world of wine. To make wine a more comfortable experience, George and his staff offer wine tastings and related classes to bring the education to the client in a relaxing, yet informative way.

With these values in mind, we added a brief landing page to direct all inquiries from those looking to up their wine game. This includes a description what each experience holds for the patron, as well as pricing and contact information to help start the conversation towards planning their next tasting.

Though Wine Squared may be a wine bar, it’s not just any wine bar. This team is dedicated to curating a unique experience for anyone and everyone on any night of the week. To showcase their mission to the community, we also included an interactive calendar of events, were the W2 team can add upcoming events for everyone to enjoy.

We had an amazing time gathering imagery to share Wine Squared's story.

Imagery

The final aspect of our project together was creating new imagery to be used as header and filler images across the website. George had recently completed several amazing renovations and updates to the space. The dedication of time and energy, derived from a true passion to bring this space to fruition, were really reflected in the changes made by his team.

Thanks to the helping hands — and sometimes whole bodies — of some regulars and friends, we put together a quick photoshoot and created some real imagery magic that can now be found throughout the website. Wine Squared is truly a beautiful business inside and out, which made for an easy content development process and an overall good time.

Looking Forward

With the project completed and released out into the world, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are so excited and grateful to have had the opportunity once again to work with a local business, whose passion for the community and love for the people in it, aligns with our own. Moving forward, we’ll continue to support Wine Squared as we do all of our clients when and where necessary. Though to be fair, Squarespace is an amazing web hosting platform, with effective 24hr customer service, ease in usability and comfort in creativity.
