CONNECTIONS IN COMMUNITY: GSATI TAKES DENTON ARTS & AUTOS FOR A DRIVE

For the last sixteen years, the Denton Main Street Association has played host to an array of historic events that bring visitors from near and far to our downtown square, including a picturesque time hop into a world of timeless autos and artwork, the Denton Arts and Autos. This year, the GSATi family, in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association, took to the booths to raise funds for team Represent Denton, a community-based team scheduled to walk in the Walk to End Alzheimer's - Grandscape. Here's a quick peek at our experience at the event! 

For an event to be cursed with a late start due to early morning heavy rain, you would have thought the sky was crystal clear from the vibrant energy emanating from staff and participants. Early arrival vendors were quickly moved indoors, while auto owners sat in their parked areas, awaiting for a glimpse of the sun. 

By noontime, the sky had cleared, booths moved outside, and cars dried to near-perfection.  We were ready! GSATi and the Alzheimer's Association relocated to the outdoors where the sun could greet us, and we could greet future Represent Denton members! The GSATi staff were greeted by several friends, family and passerbys eager to stop and make a donation however possible. We even had a few furry friends throw in a bone or two! 

All donors were invited to paint their hand, or simply write their name on our team board as a sign of support for the Alzheimer's Association. 

After a full day connecting with community members and fellow vendors, the Represent Denton team brought their total raised funds to a whopping $1,000, a huge feat accomplishment in our eyes. 

We could not be more grateful for the funds raised and kind words from all who stopped by the GSATi booth during Arts and Autos. We are blessed to be part of such a beautifully collaborative and supportive community, who understand and share our passions for causes that mean so much to us. We'd also like to thank our partners in success, the Alzheimer's Association, for joining us in the rain AND shine and providing so many helping hands! We are so excited to work with this organization for another year, and are excited for future partnerships!
